Comments: A stunningly good release. The music itself is still growing on me with each listen, but this 2 x 180 Gram 45RPM deluxe edition is high quality in every respect. The gatefold cover is made of very thick and sturdy card stock, with beautifully designed inner sleeves. The vinyl, pressed at Pallas in Germany, is heavy, flat and (in my case at least) clean as a whistle. As for the sound, it is magnificent. There’s a depth to the sound that I have only ever heard on a handful of releases, and the soundstage is nice and wide, with all the instruments and voices clearly defined. I don’t know if this is due to being cut at 45RPM, and I’m not going to buy a regular edition to compare. Whatever it is, this is an absolute joy to listen to.
Do you have this pressing? If so, what do you think? Do you have a different pressing? How is it? Please feel free to comment.
